Suzuki has introduced the ABS version of the Access 125 in two variants: Ride Connect ABS Edition and Ride Connect TFT ABS Edition
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has introduced an updated version of its best-selling scooter with the launch of the Access equipped with a single-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). It is designed to prevent wheel lock during sudden or hard braking by regulating brake pressure particularly on slippery or uneven road surfaces.
On the Access, the system works without altering the scooter’s existing ride character as acceleration, fuel efficiency and comfort remain unchanged according to the brand. The addition of ABS is expected to appeal to riders who prioritise safety in stop-go traffic conditions and it has been made available in two variants.
The Access Ride Connect ABS Edition is priced at Rs. 92,328 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in five colour options: Metallic Mat Black No.2, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue, Pearl Grace White, Solid Ice Green and Pearl Shiny Beige. Positioned above it is the Access Ride Connect TFT ABS Edition, priced at Rs. 98,378 (ex-showroom Delhi), which also comes in five colour choices including the exclusive Pearl Mat Aqua Silver shade.
To enhance affordability, Suzuki has rolled out multiple ownership benefits with the new ABS variant. Customers can avail financing options with interest rates starting from 6.99 per cent, along with zero processing fee schemes at authorised dealerships. In addition, Suzuki is offering promotional vouchers worth Rs. 5,000 to selected buyers across states.
Commenting on the launch, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd, said, “Early this January, we marked an important milestone with the launch of Suzuki’s first electric scooter, the e-ACCESS, reinforcing our commitment to future-ready mobility. Today, we are happy to further strengthen our portfolio with the introduction of the Suzuki Access equipped with ABS. With the addition of this ABS variant, we are expanding the range of choices within the Access family, enabling customers to select a variant that best aligns with their riding preferences.”
With no other mechanical changes, the Access 125 derives power from a 124 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine generating around 8.7 PS of power at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm mated to a CVT automatic transmission. The scooter features a 5.3-litre fuel tank and comes with a telescopic front suspension and a swingarm rear unit, riding on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels.
It boasts a 24.4-litre under-seat storage capacity, a front glove box, and an external fuel lid, alongside a seat height of 773 mm and a 105 kg kerb weight. The equipment list comprises Bluetooth-enabled TFT with turn-by-turn navigation, LED headlamps, etc.
