2026 Tata Punch Facelift 2

2026 Tata Punch gets a host of revisions inside and out and it will be powered by a 1.2L NA petrol and 1.2L turbo petrol engines

Tata Motors is all pumped to introduce the facelifted version of the ICE Punch tomorrow in India and its launch will be followed by the updated Punch EV in the due course of this calendar year. The micro SUV has been well received by consumers since its market launch in late 2021 and the facelift heralds the first major update for the nameplate.

As you might expect, the facelifted Tata Punch will receive a slew of enhancements inside and out – both taking heavy inspiration form the Punch EV as well as the latest crop of Tata SUVs including Nexon, Harrier and Sierra. The five-seater has already started reaching dealerships and just as the outgoing model, it will be available in an expansive range.

On the outside, the new Punch gains a sharper look inspired by its electric sibling. Updates include redesigned headlamps, slimmer tail lamps, revised front and rear bumpers, a new grille treatment, new LED DRLs, blacked-out alloy wheels and a full-width LED light bar at the rear. It will be offered in six exterior shades: Cyantafic, Caramel, Bengal Rouge, Daytona Grey, Coorg Clouds and Pristine White.

Alongside cosmetic updates, Tata has reworked the variant lineup with a noticeably better standard feature list across the range. At the base of the lineup sits the Smart variant which comes equipped with six airbags as standard along with LED headlamps, electronic stability program, Eco and City drive modes, remote keyless entry, iTPMS and a new steering wheel.

The 2026 Punch will be equipped with 1.2-litre petrol engines in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. Transmission choices include the existing five-speed manual and AMT while the turbo petrol version is expected to be paired primarily with a six-speed manual gearbox and perhaps a six-speed torque converter automatic too.

Tata will also retain the popular dual-cylinder CNG iteration. Higher up, the Accomplished variant brings a number of enhancements such as 16-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control and seats with extended thigh support. At the top of the range, the Accomplished+ variant adds a voice-assisted electric sunroof, seven-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, auto-dimming IRVM and Tata’s iRA connected car technology.
