Bajaj Pulsar Classic range will witness a major overhaul in 2026 as multiple new models are planned for launch

Bajaj Auto is preparing for a landmark year in 2026 as the Pulsar brand completes 25 years since its debut with the company itself signalling that the iconic nameplate is about to enter a new chapter. Managing Director and CEO Rajiv Bajaj has already hinted that the coming year will be dedicated to Pulsar and new information suggests that the long-running Classic models will be at the heart of this transformation.

While the Pulsar series today is split into multiple streams, it is the Classic motorcycles that continue to generate consistent volumes. Models like the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 still rely heavily on the same design philosophy and mechanical bits that dates back several years. Despite periodic updates, the underlying architecture has remained largely unchanged.

The homegrown manufacturer is expected to introduce an all-new platform for the Classic Pulsar lineup which will make it the most significant update these motorcycles have received since their inception. The refreshed Pulsars are likely to debut in the second half of 2026 with the festive season being the targeted launch timeframe.

The Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 are expected to lead this transition. The current Classic Pulsars use a conventional double-cradle frame paired with twin rear shock absorbers, a setup that now feels dated compared to newer rivals. The next-gen models are expected to feature a more modern chassis layout – potentially borrowing heavily from the Pulsar N series. A monoshock rear suspension is likely too.

This platform change will also have implications for the engines. While Bajaj is expected to retain the familiar 125 cc and 150 cc capacities due to their strong market acceptance, the motors themselves may undergo revisions to suit the new chassis – possibly becoming stressed members. Exact technical details are yet to be uncovered but improvements in refinement and efficiency are expected.

The overall design will remain a main focal point as the Pulsar’s muscular styling continues to be one of its biggest strengths. Bajaj is expected to take an evolutionary approach rather than reinventing the look entirely. Elements such as a large fuel tank, sharp body lines and an aggressive stance are likely to stay while modern touches like LED lighting, updated instrumentation and Bluetooth connectivity could finally make their way into the Classic range.
