Here we have explained about the three all-new Hyundai Creta rivals from Tata, Kia and Renault that are arriving next year in India
The midsize SUV space is all set to witness plenty of activity over the next couple of years. Leveraging the good reception for models in this segment, automakers are looking to bring in new offerings to tighten up the competition against the segment leader Hyundai Creta which has been a benchmark for a decade now.
In 2026, Tata Motors, Kia and Renault are planning to introduce midsize SUVs of their own. In Tata’s case, the new Sierra will accompany the Curvv which is already present in the segment while Renault will look to claw back the lost glory with the new generation Duster. It was once the stalwart and turned people’s attention to this segment in the first pace.
Kia, on the other hand, is looking to introduce the second generation Seltos as the existing model has been around for over seven years now with some notable updates in the meantime. Let us take a closer look at them:

1. Tata Sierra:

In early 2026, Tata will launch the Sierra in a brand new avatar as an EV first. It will be sold with two battery options and expect the claimed range to be well over 500 km between charges. The ICE version will also arrive in the months following the introduction of the EV and it will feature a new 1.5L turbo petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine.
2. New-Gen Kia Seltos:

Spotted testing multiple times already, the second-gen Seltos will likely reach dealerships in H1 2026 with a plethora of cosmetic revisions and a revised cabin. The exterior will get redesigned headlamps, DRLs and bumpers along with new tail lamps and alloy wheels while new equipment will be available inside the cabin.

3. New Renault Duster:

The return of the Duster nameplate will happen early next year and it will be based on the latest global Duster. To be underpinned by the heavily localised CMF-B architecture and it will give rise to a Nissan sibling as well. Expected to be powered by two petrol engines at least initially, a hybrid mill could join the lineup at a later part of its lifecycle. It will spawn a seven-seater iteration in FY27.
