Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, is all braced to enter new segments in the 2026 calendar year as two all-new electrified vehicles, a flex-fuel offering and the updated version of a popular compact SUV are suspected to arrive and here we have brought you a detailed overview:
1. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara:
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is all set to launch its first all-electric vehicle, the e Vitara, in January 2026. It will be offered with two battery options – a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh pack – providing a claimed range of up to 543 km. The smaller battery version produces 142 bhp while the larger unit generates 172 bhp. The midsize e-SUV is built on a Heartect-e platform and boasts a host of premium features.
Some of the highlights include Level 2 ADAS, a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, electronic parking brake with auto hold, an all-digital instrument console, even airbags, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats and more. The e Vitara supports DC fast charging which replenishes the battery from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in about 50 minutes.

2. Updated Maruti Suzuki Fronx:
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx sold in the Southeast Asian markets boasts more features than its Indian counterpart. Considering the good reception for the compact SUV coupe locally, we do expect some of these features and tech including a suite of Level 2 ADAS system to be offered in India in 2026. Moreover, it could harbinger the arrival of flex fuel tech for the brand as well.
3. Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift:
Spied testing quite a few times on public roads in recent weeks, the facelifted Brezza will receive mild cosmetic revisions on the outside. However, the interior will gain new features including a larger touchscreen infotainment system and perhaps ADAS too. Another key addition will be the CNG tank mounted underneath the floor to conserve bootspace in a similar way to the recently launched Victoris.

4. Maruti Suzuki YMC:
Following the launch of the e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki is expected to strengthen its zero-emission portfolio with the arrival of an e-MPV internally dubbed YMC. It will more likely compete with Kia Carens EV and MG Windsor EV and will be underpinned by the Heartect-e platform as its sibling, the e Vitara. Its styling could also be influenced by its SUV sibling as well while battery options will be shared.
