Here we have listed them 7 all-new electric SUVs that are set to be introduced within the next 12 months in India

The SUV body style is all set to take centre stage with manufacturers fighting hard to secure space in both compact and midsize segments. Within the next 12 months, a host of new electric SUVs is expected to roll out from Indian and international brands. Here we have brought you a rundown:

1&2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara & Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV:

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara 1Production of Maruti Suzuki’s inaugural midsize electric SUV has commenced at its Gujarat plant for international markets with India set to see its launch next month. The SUV will come with dual battery pack options and a wide array of features such as ventilated seating and Level 2 ADAS. Soon after, Toyota plans to roll out its derivative, the Urban Cruiser BEV. Although both vehicles share essential components like the platform and battery, each will sport a unique design identity to preserve brand distinction.

3&4. Hyundai Compact e-SUV & Kia EV:

Hyundai is developing a new compact electric SUV tailored for India and other emerging markets. Positioned below the Creta Electric in the brand’s portfolio, the upcoming model is likely to take styling cues from the global Hyundai Inster while being significantly localised to keep prices competitive.

Although the technical specifications have not been officially revealed yet, the vehicle is expected to be aimed at city dwellers seeking an affordable yet feature-rich electric SUV. Kia could adopt a similar approach by introducing its own compact EV based on the Syros but the official announcement is still pending.

5. Tata Sierra EV:

Tata Motors has brought back the ICE-powered Sierra in India before introducing the all-electric version in early 2026. The upcoming Sierra EV may borrow key components from the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV including its battery systems and electrical setup. It may also be equipped with the large battery pack seen in the e-Harrier which would give it a stronger long range capability.

6&7. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV & BE Rall-E:

Mahindra is expected to expand its compact electric lineup with the XUV 3XO EV next year. To be positioned as a direct rival to the Tata Punch EV, it may become the brand’s most affordable electric offerings. It will be retailed with two battery packs and the driving range could be over 450 km.

Mahindra’s BE Rall-E will be an adventure-centric electric SUV that is likely to move into a production version by 2026. Built around the brand’s INGLO platform, it is expected to receive off-road-inspired design elements along with specific mechanical updates but several interior bits and pieces will be same as the BE 6.
