Mahindra has been confirmed to debut four new concepts and a new platform at the upcoming showcase on August 15 in Mumbai
Mahindra is preparing to reveal new concept vehicles on August 15, 2025 during the Freedom_NU event scheduled in Mumbai. Among the key unveilings, a near-production electric Thar concept is expected to draw significant attention. The event will also mark the public debut of a new architecture – developed specifically for Mahindra’s future SUVs.
The showcase will feature as many as four new concept models in total – Vision S, Vision T, Vision X and Vision SXT. Of these, the Vision SXT carries forward Mahindra’s Global Pik Up idea, first shown in South Africa. However, it now adopts a more evolved Scorpio N-based design language – hinting at several upgrades and future readiness.
The Mahindra Vision S concept appears to foreshadow the all-electric Scorpio N. A newly released teaser reveals certain utility-focused elements – a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, a sideways opening rear door, and a trapezoidal grab handle. The tail lamp layout has also moved lower – seemingly integrated into the bumper rather than flanking the rear window.

The upcoming electric Thar concept is expected to remain close to production in its form and proportions. Although exact launch dates remain unconfirmed, Mahindra’s plan to extend both the Scorpio N and Thar into electric territory appears to be moving quickly. Production versions of both models could be introduced within the next two years.
The Vision X, on the other hand, will act as a preview to the XEV 7e which has been spotted testing multiple times. It will be based on the XUV.e8 concept and the XUV700. Camouflaged prototypes of what appears to be the next generation Mahindra Bolero have been consistently spotted across different regions – fuelling speculation around its market debut.

Despite the timing of the upcoming Freedom_NU showcase on August 15, there is no formal confirmation yet that the new Bolero will be part of that presentation but we can expect some teaser activity leading up to the event. Positioned to take on monocoque midsize SUVs, the new Bolero could leverage its tougher chassis to carve out a space with pricing expected to remain competitive.
