Maruti Suzuki will bring in a host of new SUVs for India across different segments and here we have listed them
Maruti Suzuki appears to be working on a range of new products over the next two to three years. A notable portion of the upcoming range will focus on expanding the SUV lineup which remains a critical category for the brand in India. Several models are currently under development, spanning both familiar nameplates and all new segments. Below is a round up of some of the most likely SUVs in the pipeline.
1. 7-Seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara:

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly evaluating the introduction of a three-row version of the Grand Vitara. To be positioned to rival the likes of the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari, the extended version would allow Maruti to tap into the growing demand for midsize SUVs with added seating capacity. It will likely benefit from an updated features package to cater to family-oriented audience.
2. Maruti Suzuki Micro SUV:

Alongside the reported compact MPV, the company is also believed to be preparing an entry into the micro SUV space. Likely to arrive by late 2026 or in 2027, the model is expected to go up against the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch. Early indications suggest that Maruti may also consider offering it with a hybrid powertrain to boost fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
3. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara:
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch its first all-electric model, the e-Vitara, around September 2025. The SUV will be offered via the Nexa network and come with a choice between two battery configurations. With a driving range of more than 500 kilometres on a full charge and fast charging capability included, it is underpinned by the EV-specific Heartect e architecture.

The electric Vitara is also set to spawn a Toyota-badged counterpart down the line. Both models will be manufactured at Suzuki Motor Corporation’s facility in Gujarat for their respective local and international businesses.
4. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid:

The test sighting suggests that the upcoming iteration could receive an electrified powertrain – potentially similar to the Smart Hybrid system used in the globally exported Dzire. If confirmed, the Fronx hybrid would introduce a more fuel-efficient option to the compact crossover’s lineup.
5. Maruti Suzuki Escudo:

Maruti Suzuki is in the advanced stages of developing an all-new five-seat SUV, set to take position below the Grand Vitara in its portfolio. The SUV is expected to measure slightly longer than the Grand Vitara itself. At launch, which could take place in the coming months, the new SUV may share its powertrain combinations with the Grand Vitara.
