MG, Volkswagen, Mahindra, Skoda, etc are expected to bring in new family SUVs in the due course of 2026
Along with a slew of new mid-size SUVs, 2026 will see a barrage of new three-row SUVs coming into Indian showrooms. No less than six new 7-seat SUVs will be launched in India this year, and three of them are coming soon.
1. MG Majestor

On 12 February, JSW MG Motor will launch the facelifted version of the MG Gloster as the MG Majestor. The facelifted model features a noticeably more aggressive design and should come with new features such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a massage driver seat.
2. VW Tayron

The VW Tayron, the corporate cousin of the Skoda Kodiaq, will make its India debut on 28 January and likely go on sale in the middle of February. It will come with features like 19-inch alloy wheels, front massage seats, and a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and it will be powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine as the Skoda Kodiaq.
3. New Mahindra Scorpio-N

The Mahindra Scorpio-N will get a facelift by April, and along with the usual updates like revised bumpers, new wheels, and tweaked lights, it should get a new 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system. No changes are expected to the engines or transmissions with the facelift.
4. Skoda Kodiaq RS

Sometime between April and June, Skoda will launch the Kodiaq RS, its first high-performance SUV. Now in its second generation, the Kodiaq RS is available in 5- and 7-seat versions, but India is likely to get only the latter. The go-fast family hauler hits 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 km/h and achieves an electronically top speed of 231 km/h. Skoda imports knocked-down kits of the Kodiaq and assembles them locally, but it is likely to import the Kodiaq RS as a CBU.
5. 7-seat Renault SUV

Renault plans to launch a new 7-seat SUV derived from the upcoming Duster in the final quarter of the year. It will measure around 4.6 metres in length and compete with the Hyundai Alcazar as well as the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV 7XO.
6. Kia MQ4i

The Kia MQ4i will be an Indianised version of the fourth-gen Kia Sorento, a global D-segment SUV larger than both the Mahindra XUV 7XO and Tata Safari and even the VW Tayron and Skoda Kodiaq. We expect it to be 4.8 metres long, 1.9 metres wide, and 1.7 metres tall and have a 2.8-metre wheelbase. Kia is likely to launch in ICE and hybrid variants and will manufacture it in India with heavy localisation to price it competitively.
