MG Majestor will be equipped with a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine already seen in the Gloster kicking out 213 bhp and 478 Nm

MG Motor India is preparing to introduce the Majestor, a new flagship SUV that will sit at the very top of its domestic product range, on February 12, 2026. The Majestor will expand MG’s presence in the full-size SUV space and take direct aim at established rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and others in the category.

The Majestor made its first public appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 where MG showcased three production-ready vehicles intended for India. Alongside the Majestor, the brand previewed the Cyberster and the M9 and both are on sale via the more premium MG Select dealerships since late last year.

The MG Majestor has been spotted testing repeatedly on public roads. Rather than replacing the Gloster, the Majestor will be positioned above it, offering a more premium and visually aggressive alternative. The Majestor is based on the same Maxus D90 platform, a body-on-frame architecture already in use across several global markets.

Design changes play a key role in differentiating the Majestor from the Gloster. Up front, it adopts a bolder appearance with a darkened grille treatment, sharper LED daytime running lights and vertically oriented LED projector headlamps. Revised bumpers, new skid plates and a more rugged overall stance contribute to a tougher appeal.

The side profile introduces new elements such as twin-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, thick black cladding and wheel arches along with blacked-out detailing on roof and pillars. At the rear, the three-row SUV features a reworked tail lamp layout, prominent “Majestor” badging on the tailgate, new bumper and a dual exhaust setup.

Powering the MG Majestor will be the familiar 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine already seen in the Gloster. This motor produces around 213 bhp and 478 Nm of torque and is expected to be paired with an automatic transmission. An optional selectable four-wheel-drive system is also likely to be offered.

Inside, the Majestor is expected to offer a more feature-rich cabin than the Gloster. It will get a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, 12-speaker audio, MG’s iSmart connected car tech, powered front seats with ventilation and massage functions, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control and a comprehensive safety package comprising Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera system and so on.
