8 New Cars To Be Launched Soon In India – Nissan Gravite To VW Tayron

Domestic and overseas brands line up multiple new car debuts and launches over the next few weeks and here we have explained them

Much like December and January, the next few weeks will be jam-packed with new car arrivals. No fewer than 8 models are expected to be released soon, priced from just under 6 lakh rupees (ex-showroom) to close to 80 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).

1. MG Majestor

On 12 February, a year after unveiling the model at Auto Expo 2025, JSW MG Motor will finally launch the Majestor. The Majestor is the facelifted version of the Gloster and has a noticeably more aggressive exterior and an upmarket interior. The company will likely offer it with a number of new features, such as a power tailgate, a massage driver’s seat, and Level 2 ADAS functions. No mechanical changes are expected in the new model.

2. BMW X3 30 xDrive

On 16 February, BMW will launch the X3 30 xDrive, a new petrol variant aimed at customers demanding more performance over the currently available X3 20 xDrive. The X3 30 xDrive sports a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 190 kW (255 hp) and 400 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system send power to the wheels. The new variant will be available in a new M Sport Pro trim, replete with 20-inch alloy wheels, smoked headlamps and tail lamps, and M badging.

3. Nissan Gravite

On 17 February, Nissan will unveil the Gravite, a rebadged version of Renault’s Triber. The company may tweak the headlamp and tail lamp graphics and use a new design for the grilles, bumpers, and wheels, but the overall design will be similar. The interior should be even more similar, and the engine and transmission should be the same.

4. 2026 Tata Punch EV

Tata Motors has unveiled the 2026 Punch EV facelift ahead of the official launch on Feb 20 in the country. The all-electric version of the micro SUV will come with visual updates at the outside and minor interior enhancements while retaining the same powertrains.

5. VW Tayron

Towards the end of this month, Volkswagen will launch the Tayron, its new family SUV positioned against Skoda’s Kodiaq. It will be a more upmarket product, equipped with more appealing features such as 19-inch alloy wheels, a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS functions, and a 700-watt, 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. It will be powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 150 kW (201 hp) and 320 Nm of torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system will be standard.

6. Tata Sierra.ev

Tata Sierra EV will be available in single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD variants right from launch, expected to take place a month later. Both variants should feature a multi-link rear suspension for enhanced comfort, something the ICE Sierra will get only in an AWD variant, expected to arrive in 2027. The Sierra.ev will likely be available with 55 and 65 kWh LFP battery packs, and the latter could deliver a range of over 600 kilometres.

7. Maruti e-Vitara

The Maruti e-Vitara, the company’s first EV, will likely go on sale later this month. Set to compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric rival will be available in two FWD variants, one with a 142 hp/192.5 Nm motor and a 49 kWh LFP battery pack and one with a 172 hp/192.5 Nm motor and a 61 kWh battery pack. The former should deliver a range of 440 kilometres, while the latter has been confirmed to deliver a range of 543 kilometres.

8. Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, a corporate cousin of the Maruti e-Vitara, should also be launched shortly after. It features a more elegant front-end with Toyota’s global signature hammerhead shark-inspired look, but the rest of the vehicle has no major changes. It will be available with the same motor and battery pack combinations. Similarly, key features will include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, a 40:20:40-split , sliding and reclining rear seat, and seven airbags.
