Mahindra is planning to introduce a host of new SUVs across different segments and propulsion types over the next 2 years in India
Mahindra has rallied up a slew of new SUVs for India over the next couple of years. Test mules have begun popping up across the country giving us a clearer picture of all the models that are in the pipeline as new lifestyle, premium and ICE SUVs along with the updated combustion engined models are all being readied to hit the market.
One of the more unconventional entrants in the pipeline is the BE Rall-E – essentially a n adventure-focused iteration of the BE 6. Reinforced cladding, a beefier suspension tune and a more rugged stance are expected to differentiate it from its road-biased sibling. Underneath, the Rall-E is expected to share the same electric drivetrain options as the regular BE 6 and it could go on sale next year.
Moving to the lifestyle category which the brand leads, Mahindra has already previewed the Thar EV concept which hints at a five-door zero-emission off-roader positioned as an alternative to the existing Thar. Alongside this, a full-electric Scorpio is reportedly under internal study. If it gets the green light, it will likely trace its roots to the Vision S concept and sit on the brand’s upcoming NU_IQ architecture.

The all-new platform itself is shaping up to be one of Mahindra’s biggest structural upgrades with production targeted for 2027. Once operational, it will serve as the foundation for an entire fleet of premium EVs and perhaps hybrid SUVs too. The homegrown SUV maker is also developing a compact SUV – frequently referred to as a baby Scorpio N – spotted in camouflaged form several times.
The Vision X-based compact crossover is also expected to surface in the future as part of the smaller SUV offensive while the XUV 3XO based compact e-SUV has been caught testing multiple times as well. At the other end of the timeline sits the refreshed XUV700 which will be the first off the blocks with a 2026 debut. The SUV will bring reprofiled bumpers, tweaked headlamps and a new set of alloys but the cabin will be brand new.

Mahindra appears focused on upping the perceived quality with richer trim materials and a cleaner layout. The cabin overhaul will be noticeable, especially with the introduction of a triple-screen cockpit. A larger infotainment display, a digital cluster and a new front passenger display will dominate the dashboard.
One of Mahindra’s most crucial launches, however, will be the XUV.e8-derived three-row EV – dubbed the XEV 9S – which is slated for its market introduction on November 27, 2025. The EV will differentiate itself through a closed-off face, aero-friendly surfaces and distinct LED signatures. The cabin will lean heavily on Mahindra’s born-electric philosophy and it will be equipped with two battery packs with a range of over 500 km. It will sit on the INGLO platform.
