Yamaha FZ-Rave gets an aggressive looking full-LED projector headlamp with an integrated position light, sculpted fuel tank with cosmetic vents, etc
Yamaha has expanded its popular FZ lineup in India with the launch of the new FZ-Rave priced at Rs. 1,17,218 (ex-showroom, Delhi). As for the styling, the FZ-Rave gets aggressive full-LED projector headlamp with an integrated position light, sculpted fuel tank with cosmetic vents, compact exhaust and a sleek tail section.
It also features a single-piece seat and gets two colour options namely Matte Titan and Metallic Black. Powering the FZ-Rave is a 149 cc air-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke SOHC engine with fuel injection technology. The engine produces 12.4 PS at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, coupled with a five-speed transmission.
The powertrain is tuned for linear acceleration and high fuel efficiency as you might already know. It also meets E20 fuel compatibility standards. The FZ-Rave’s diamond-type frame is supported by a telescopic fork at the front and a swingarm setup at the rear. Braking duties are handled by hydraulic single disc brakes at both ends, assisted by a single-channel ABS system.

The front tyre measures 100/80-17 and the rear 140/60-17 – both tubeless. Dimensionally, the FZ-Rave measures 1,990 mm in length, 780 mm in width and 1,080 mm in height with a seat height of 790 mm and a wheelbase of 1,330 mm. It offers 165 mm of ground clearance, weighs 136 kg and houses a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres.
In terms of features, the motorcycle comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster that includes a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and clock. It also comes with LED lighting, electric start and a 12V 3.0Ah battery system for reliability. With over 2.75 million FZ-series motorcycles already on Indian roads, the FZ-Rave helps expand the portfolio to appeal to a wide range of customers.

On the launch stage, the Yamaha FZ-Rave accompanied the XSR 155 and the brand’s duo of zero-emission scooter offerings in India namely EC-06 and Aerox-E.
