Here we have brought you a rundown of the five new electric SUVs set to arrive within the next 2-3 months
The coming 2-3 months could easily reset the midsize SUV landscape with Mahindra flexing EV muscle, Tata banking on emotion and legacy, Maruti finally plugging into the electric game and Renault reviving one of its strongest badges.
By early next year, the midsize SUV market will look a lot different than it does today as some familiar names are returning with new intent and the newcomers are playing for keeps. Here are the five upcoming confirmed launches in this highly popular category that are happening soon:
1. Mahindra XEV 9S:

Mahindra will kick things off later this month with the XEV 9S, the first born-electric three-row SUV from the brand built entirely on the INGLO skateboard platform. It boasts new styling based on XUV.e8 concept, a full-width LED light bar and Twin Peaks badge up front. The cabin will go premium with a panoramic roof, triple-screen layout and Level 2 ADAS. The SUV is said to deliver over 500 km on a single charge and will also support bidirectional charging.

Maruti Suzuki, meanwhile, is preparing its biggest transition in decades with the all-electric e Vitara. Based on a dedicated skateboard EV platform, the five-seater SUV will be available with two battery pack options and could offer over 500 km of range in its top spec. Built for both domestic and global markets, the e Vitara is expected to be priced competitively.
3 & 4. Tata Sierra ICE & EV:

Then there’s the Tata Sierra – the one that’s guaranteed to get people talking. Scheduled for launch on November 25, it revives one of the most iconic names in Indian SUV history. Positioned between the Curvv and Harrier, the new Sierra will be available as both an EV and an ICE model. The petrol variant will use Tata’s 1.5-litre turbo engine producing roughly 168 PS and 280 Nm while the electric version is expected to exceed 500 km of range. The EV will arrive a few months later.
