Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Grand Vitara combined to record over 23,900 units as they contributed significantly to the brand’s SUV sales in October 2025

Maruti Suzuki introduced the Victoris midsize SUV with much anticipation midway through September and its initial reception has been nothing but positive. Following the accumulation of over 25,000 bookings in a short span of time, the Victoris has garnered a domestic tally of 13,496 units in its first full month of sales in October in the domestic market – highest for a midsize SUV.

The five-seater recorded total dispatches of 4,261 units in September 2025. The combined sales of the Victoris and Grand Vitara stood at just over 23,900 units. It also outsold its sibling which is sold through the premium Nexa dealerships by over 3,400 units. The Victoris and the Grand Vitara are positioned in a more or less similar manner except that the former is retailed through the regular Arena outlets.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris can be bought with petrol, CNG and strong hybrid powertrain choices and it carries a starting price of Rs. 10.49 lakh. It is available in six grades with prices going up to Rs. 20 lakh for the top-spec model (ex-showroom, introductory). The brand began handing over keys to customers by Navratri and the SUV is high on safety as well.

It scored the full five marks in both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP crash test programmes. It is equipped with a 1.5-litre K-Series four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 103.06 PS maximum power at 6,000 rpm and 139 Nm of peak torque at 4,300 rpm. The hybrid 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine kicks out 92.45 PS at 5,500 rpm and 122 Nm between 3,800 rpm and 4,800 rpm.

Maruti Suzuki claims up to 21 kmpl fuel economy with the regular petrol and 28.65 kmpl with the strong hybrid eCVT combination. The CNG variant, on the other hand, features a CNG tank tucked underneath the floor to leverage boot space. It measures 4,360 mm long, 1,795 mm wide and stands 1,655 mm tall with a wheelbase length of 2,600 mm.

The Victoris can be purchased with a 2WD or an AWD setup. The features list comprises a dual-tone interior theme, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats at the front, powered tailgate, Level 2 ADAS tech, an eight-speaker audio system, an eight-way powered driver seat, etc.
