Tata Sierra in its new generation avatar will be available in both ICE and electric guises and both are set to debut on November 25
The all-new Tata Sierra is finally set to hit Indian roads later this month with its market debut scheduled for November 25, 2025. Positioned above the Curvv and below the Harrier in Tata’s SUV lineup, the new Sierra will reintroduce one of the brand’s most iconic nameplates in a thoroughly modern avatar in both IC-engined and electric forms.
For more than a week, Tata has been teasing the ICE Sierra while the first teaser of the electric version came to light yesterday. The EV, also shown in yellow paint, gets a completely sealed front fascia that gives away its EV identity. The smooth, grille-free nose is complemented by a continuous LED daytime running strip running across the width just beneath the bonnet.
Other highlights are Split headlamps, a blacked-out bumper section and a prominent silver skid plate complementing the look. In contrast, the ICE variant opts for a more traditional and muscular stance with a black grille and chunkier detailing. From the sides, the design remains unmistakably Sierra with its upright proportions, strong shoulder lines and distinctive window profile.

The flush door handles, alloy wheel design, squarish wheel arches and black body cladding can also be seen and both versions look to feature the same wheel design. At the rear, expect subtle EV-specific touches like different accents and badging while the wide LED light bar, boxy tailgate and integrated spoiler will ensure a cohesive look.
The latest teaser videos have revealed a cabin that’s every bit as modern as expected – featuring a triple-screen layout comprising a 12.3-inch fully digital driver display, a central touchscreen infotainment unit and a passenger-side information screen. The dashboard sports layered surfaces, soft-touch materials, ambient lighting and upscale upholstery.
Customers will also get a multifunction steering wheel with illuminated logo, auto-dimming IRVM, and adjustable headrests. A large panoramic sunroof stretches all the way and it also nods to the classic Sierra’s trademark glass panel. Under the hood, the Sierra will debut with Tata’s all-new 1.5-litre turbo petrol and diesel engines.

The petrol motor is expected to generate around 168 PS and 280 Nm of torque with both manual and automatic gearbox options. The electric version will share its underpinnings with the Harrier EV and is likely to feature two battery pack options. The larger of the two is expected to deliver over 500 km of real-world range.
