Here we have listed the 7 all-new SUVs that are confirmed to arrive over the next four to five weeks from key players in the market
The Indian SUV market is packed with new launches over the next four to five weeks as manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Mahindra are bracing to introduce new models, especially electric SUVs while the all-new Seltos is set to debut next month in Korea. Here we have listed all the confirmed arrivals:
1. New Gen Kia Seltos:
On December 10, the second generation Kia Seltos is all set to make its global premiere in its home market of South Korea before likely debuting in markets like India in early 2026. It has already been caught testing several times confirming the heavy influence of the latest Telluride in terms of design and it will grown in size as well. A hybrid powertrain is also on the cards for global markets.
2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara:
The maiden zero-emission offering from Maruti Suzuki, e Vitara, has been confirmed to launch next month following months of delay. Its production has already commenced at SMC’s Gujarat facility which acts as a global hub. It will be available in 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, capable of a driving range of over 500 km per charge.
3&4. Tata Harrier & Safari Petrol:
On December 9, Tata Motors will introduce the long-awaited petrol versions of the Harrier and Safari. The new-gen 1.5L turbo GDI mill kicking out 168 PS and 280 Nm will be utilised and it will be paired with manual and automatic transmission options. The same powertrain is also expected to find its way to the Sierra a bit earlier but with different outputs as its NA version could be employed.
5&6. Tata Sierra ICE & EV:
On November 25, Tata is preparing to unveil the all-new Sierra in both IC-engined and electric guises judging by the teaser images. The overall design will be influenced by the original model with modern touches while the interior will be packed with features and tech including a triple screen setup, a large panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS and more.
7. Mahindra XEV 9S:
Mahindra & Mahindra’s first all-electric three-row SUV, the XEV 9S, is planned to be launched on November 27 and it will take plenty of inspiration from the XUV.e8 concept showcased a few years ago. However, its similarities with the existing XUV700 should not go unnoticed. It will sit on the INGLO platform as the XEV 9e and BE 6 siblings and will share the battery options with them. Thus, a real-world range of over 500 km is a possibility.
