Mahindra has confirmed launching a new version of the BE 6 on November 26 and it could be a special edition or a more affordable variant
It is no secret that Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to introduce its first all-electric three-row SUV, the XEV 9S, on November 27, 2025. It looks that the brand is doubling down on its Scream Electric event which will be held in Bengaluru as another new product has been added to the launch list and it has been teased for the first time as well.
The teaser clearly shows the e-SUV won’t be a brand new offering as the design cues are found to be that of the BE 6. Mahindra is set to launch it a day prior on November 26 and it could be a special edition of the BE 6 considering the good reception for the Batman Edition. In the teaser, Mahindra said ‘Get ready to drive the winning formula.’
Thus, we suspect that it could be a commemorative edition for its efforts in Formula E, the all-electric spectacle. Another possibility is the red body colour could represent a superhero stable like Deadpool but we do not see any exclusive enhancements from the teaser. This leaves us with the possible debut of a new variant that could sit at the entry point of the BE 6’s lineup.

Both the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 were launched in India a year ago and the former has been more popular courtesy of its everyday appeal and practicality while the latter appeals to buyers looking for a sporty electric offering. To garner more customers, Mahindra might bring in a more affordable version of the base Pack One trim and we got a very good reason for that.
The teaser does not show the C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights which are a significant part of the BE 6’s design appeal at the front and rear. Cost cutting measures could be implemented and some features could be omitted to make the upcoming trim more affordable and currently, the base price stands at Rs. 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mahindra XEV 9S will be the star of the show and it sits on the same INGLO platform as the BE 6 and XEV 9e. It takes styling inspiration from the XUV.e8 concept and will be equipped with two battery options with the real-world range going over 500 km between charges.
