Google’s Quick Share now works with Apple’s AirDrop, but there’s a catch

Google’s Quick Share works for Android the same way AirDrop works for Apple’s ecosystem, and now Google has announced that the two are finally compatible.

So you can now share things between iPhones and Android devices, provided that those Android devices are Google’s Pixel 10 family. That’s the catch – for now, this only works on those smartphones.

Undoubtedly, Google will open it up to more devices in the following months or years, but it’s keeping this functionality exclusive to its latest Pixels from the get-go.

There’s really no need to explain how this works – to share stuff from a Pixel 10 to an Apple device, just use Quick Share as you normally would when sharing with an Android device. And vice versa. It’s all supposed to “just work”.
