The next-gen Kia Seltos will break cover on December 10, while the India launch is expected in the first half of 2026
Kia is one of the most popular car manufacturers in India, known for offering stylish and feature-packed products. The Korean carmaker has been consistently doing well in terms of sales over the past few years, fuelled by multiple new product launches. In order to further expand its portfolio, the company will debut three major models in 2026-2027, including a new EV and a 7-seater SUV. Let’s look at the upcoming Kia cars in India.
1. Next-Gen Kia Seltos
The new-gen Kia Seltos will make a global debut on December 10. Expected to hit the Indian shores in the first half of 2026, the test second-generation model has already been spotted on multiple occasions in India. Internally codenamed SP3i, the mid-size SUV will likely sport an entirely new design language, and as per the reports, it is expected to grow in terms of overall dimensions.

The India-spec model is expected to continue with the familiar 1.5 NA petrol, 1.5 tGDi petrol and 1.5 CRDi diesel engines. Apart from this, Kia is also expected to offer a strong hybrid powertrain with the new-gen Seltos.
2. Kia Syros EV
Kia has confirmed the launch of the Syros EV in the Indian market. It is expected to go on sale sometime next year, however, a definite launch timeline is yet to be known. In terms of design, we expect the Syros EV to feature minor changes, like revised bumpers, new aero-efficient alloy wheels and some EV-specific branding.
While the battery pack details are under wraps, the Syros is expected to come with a claimed range of around 400 kilometres on a single charge. Once launched, the Kia Syros EV will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400 EV.

3. Kia Sorento 7-Seater SUV
The Kia Sorento was recently spotted testing in India for the first time. Internally codenamed MQ4i, the 3-row hybrid SUV is expected to launch in the country by 2026. A set of vertically stacked headlamps with DRLs can be seen in the spy images, which resembles the international-spec Sorento.
The SUV is riding on 19-inch alloy wheels, and other visible elements include silver roof rails, front parking sensors, and split-type LED tail lamps. Under the hood, the India-spec Sorento SUV is expected to use a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid setup, in the interest of competitive pricing. Kia will reportedly share this powertrain with the next-gen Seltos. Upon arrival, we can expect the Sorento hybrid to take on Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster and the likes.
