Mahindra BE 6 Formula E has been made available in two variants namely FE2 and FE3; gets a host of cosmetic updates over the standard model
We are at Mahindra’s high-energy Scream Electric event in Bengaluru and the brand has just pulled the covers off something special – the BE 6 Formula E Edition. Commemorating Mahindra’s commitment to the fourth generation Formula E racing scene until 2030, the special edition of the BE 6 gets a slew of cosmetic upgrades inside and out.
It gets a unique Formula E-inspired livery and has been launched in two variants – FE2 and FE3. The FE2 is priced at Rs. 23.69 lakh while the more loaded FE3 comes in at Rs. 24.49 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Both variants are powered by the larger 79 kWh battery pack. Bookings for the BE 6 Formula E Edition will open on January 14, 2026 while deliveries are scheduled to begin from February 14, 2026.
At the heart of the BE 6 Formula E Edition is a punchy 210 kW electric motor offering 282 bhp and 380 Nm – making it one of the most powerful electric SUVs in its segment. It comes with adaptive suspension electric power steering with a variable gear ratio, boost mode for bursts of performance, multi-step regenerative braking and single-pedal driving. Mahindra has also focused on everyday usability with a tight 10-metre turning circle, cruise control and low rolling resistance tyres .
The 79 kWh battery pack is paired with 180 kW DC fast charging support – allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in around 20 minutes under ideal conditions. On the outside, the BE 6 Formula E Edition stands out with its special livery and motorsport-inspired graphics on the bonnet, doors and fenders along with FIA branding and Formula E badging both inside and outside. It rides on large R20 sporty alloy wheels and features LED DRLs, projector headlamps and a fixed glass infinity roof.
Small details like night trail carpet lamps and exclusive trims give it a distinct appeal that separates it from the standard BE 6. On the inside, the motorsport theme continues. Buyers get dual 12.3-inch super screens with Mahindra’s in-house UI, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, built-in Amazon Alexa, pre-installed OTT apps, and the Sonic Studio sound system with Dolby Atmos.
The FE3 variant further adds exclusive Formula E-themed UI animations, a unique startup screen, premium upholstery and added visual elements. Mahindra has packed features like ventilated seats, a powered driver seat, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, a 60:40 split rear bench and a functional frunk with a drain hole and light. Connected car features via the AdrenoX app also allow users to control and monitor vehicle functions remotely.
Safety is equally comprehensive with both FE2 and FE3 getting Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, brake-by-wire technology, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake, front and rear parking sensors, TPMS with real-time pressure display and driver drowsiness detection.
