TVS-BMW has commenced production of the BMW F 450 GS ahead of its market launch potentially in the coming months
TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad have crossed a major milestone of two lakh motorcycles produced under their long-running partnership. The collaboration, which began in 2013, has played a key role in shaping the sub-500cc motorcycle segment for BMW. Over the last decade, this alliance has delivered premium small capacity motorcycles to riders across more than 100 international markets in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
Models like the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS and G 310 RR form the backbone of this success story – contributing significantly to BMW Motorrad’s global sales strategy in emerging and mature markets alike. That next phase is led by the BMW F 450 GS, a new middleweight adventure motorcycle first showcased at EICMA 2025.
Positioned below the F 850 GS, it aims to be more accessible entry point into the GS adventure family. It reportedly could make its India debut next month with a possible showcase at India Bike Week in Goa. The production of the BMW F 450 GS has commenced at the Hosur facility ahead of dispatches to international markets. It will go on sale in the coming months in India.

The F 450 GS carries classic GS traits including a tall stance, a beak-style front and an X-shaped LED headlamp. It retains rugged proportions but in a more compact format. Built around a new tubular steel frame, the motorcycle weighs 178 kg and powering it is a newly developed 420cc parallel-twin engine with a 135-degree crankpin offset.
It delivers a maximum power output of 48 hp and 43 Nm of peak torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. Suspension duties are handled by KYB 43 mm USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock while higher trims receive adjustable sport suspension. Braking comes via Brembo disc at the front and ByBre at the rear.

They are supported by cornering ABS, traction control, Dynamic Brake Control and engine brake control. BMW will offer the F 450 GS in four variants – Basic, Exclusive, Sport and GS Trophy. Riding modes include Rain, Road and Enduro with Enduro Pro reserved for higher variants. It also features a 6.5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, USB-C charging and heated grips.
