Harley-Davidson X400 T continues to use the familiar 440 cc air and oil cooled engine but a host of functional changes have been made

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have officially launched the X440 T which currently sits at the top of the 440 cc range. Alongside the X440 T, the two companies also showcased their Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) motorcycles to the Indian market. The CVO Street Glide and the CVO Road Glide have comeback as part of the brand’s 2025 lineup in India.

When the standard X440 was introduced in July 2023, it became the most approachable Harley-Davidson on the market and it opened the gates for several new riders than ever before. The X440 T features a host of new upgrades including Ride-by-Wire technology, switchable traction control and switchable rear ABS along with styling tweaks.

Riders can now choose between two new ride modes – Road and Rain courtesy of moving to electronic throttle body. A redesigned rear sub-frame introduces a new tail section and updated grab rails as part of upping pillion comfort. Also debuted on the motorcycle has been the segment-first Panic Braking Alert where all indicators blink rapidly during sudden deceleration to warn vehicles approaching from behind.

To make the line-up more accessible, Harley-Davidson has revised its pricing as the standard X440’s prices have been cut significantly by up to Rs. 25,000. The H-D X440 T, on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 2,79,500, the X440 S base variant at Rs. 2,54,900 and the X440 Vivid at Rs. 2,34,500 (ex-showroom).

Bookings for the new range will commence from December 7, 2025 through Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia dealerships as well as online channels. The famed American manufacturer says it has incorporated 72 new changes in total including tighter wiring packaging, slightly restyled fuel tank, improved switchgear with better tactility and a new exhaust system comprising new catalytic converter, heat shield and end can.

Both motorcycles are powered by the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine which produces 115 HP and 189 Nm of torque. The Road Glide features the signature Sharknose fairing whereas the Street Glide sports the reworked Batwing fairing.

Each model comes with a 12.3-inch TFT screen running the Skyline OS infotainment system along with high-end audio and exclusive custom paint options. In addition, the entire Softail cruiser family in India is now updated with three versions of the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine – Classic, Custom and High Output with these models already available at Harley-Davidson dealerships.
