Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be packed with features upon launch in January 2026; to be available in three variants
Maruti Suzuki is all set to enter the electric vehicle space in India with the e Vitara and it has now been confirmed to launch in January. The electric SUV will be offered with two battery pack options and in terms of styling, the e Vitara stands in a league of its own over anything currently sold by Maruti Suzuki due to its more modern design details.
The front end is defined by sharp Y-shaped LED daytime running lights, a shut-off grille and slim LED headlamps that give it a futuristic look. The rear boasts slender LED tail lamps while elements such as a shark-fin antenna, a muscular bonnet, aggressive cuts and creases and large 18-inch dual-tone aero wheels enable a sporty appeal.
Buyers can pick from 11 paint options. Dual-tone combinations include Land Breeze Green, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, Arctic White and Nexa Blue – coupled with a Bluish Black roof. Those preferring monotone shades can choose from Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Opulent Red, Bluish Black and Land Breeze Green.

Step inside and the cabin gets a soft-touch two-tone layout with fabric seat upholstery and padded door inserts. The equipment list comprises a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital driver display, connected car features, an Infinity audio system and automatic climate control.
The e Vitara is built on the dedicated Heartect-e skateboard platform. Consumers will have the choice to pick between a 49 kWh and a larger 61 kWh battery pack. The smaller battery offers a claimed range of 344 km in the WLTP cycle while the larger unit is ARAI-rated at up to 543 km on a single charge. Power output stands at 144 PS for the smaller battery and 174 PS for the larger one with torque rated at 192.5 Nm in both configurations.

Te e Vitara has already secured a five-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. Some of the highlighting safety equipment includes seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, ISOFIX mounts, front and rear parking sensors and an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera unit and Level 2 ADAS.
