Here is a list of upcoming IC-engined SUVs that are all set to launch in India in 2026 from brands including Maruti Suzuki, Tata and Mahindra
The IC-engined SUV space is all pumped to witness a flurry of action in the 2026 calendar year as multiple new products are lined up for launch from brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Mahindra, Kia, Volkswagen, Skoda, Renault and Nissan and here we have brought you a brief rundown:
1. Mahindra XUV 7XO:
Set to launch on January 5, 2026 the Mahindra XUV 7XO is the rebranded XUV 700 with several updates inside and out as it looks to further amp up its premium status. It will have a lot in common with the recently launched XEV 9S but mechanically no major changes are expected.
2&3. New Renault Duster & Nissan Tekton:
On January 26, 2026, Renault will bring back the Duster nameplate in a brand new avatar that closely aligns itself with the Euro-spec model. Underpinned by the localised CMF-B platform, it will also be loaded with features and expect the performance to be drawn from two turbo petrol engines. Its sibling, the Nissan Tekton with a design inspired by global Patrol, is set to debut at the resurgence event in February and both these midsize SUVs will give rise to respective 7-seater siblings.

4,5&6. Tata Punch Facelift, Harrier & Safari Petrol:
While the Punch EV facelift has been confirmed to launch in CY2026, the possibilities of the ICE version getting a mid-cycle makeover is also high considering that it has not received any major updates since its launch in late 2021. We can expect it to launch in early 2026 where the 1.5L GDI petrol engine equipped Harrier and Safari will also have their prices announced.
7. Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift:
Spotted testing quite a few times already, the updated Brezza will gain subtle cosmetic revisions but the cabin could feature notable feature additions sticking in line with the growing competition in the compact SUV segment. It could also get underbody CNG tank fitment in a similar fashion to the Victoris.

8&9. Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift & Vision S:
The Scorpio N will also receive a mid-life enhancement in the coming months judging by the frequent spotting of test prototypes. While no major mechanical changes are likely, the cabin is suspected to get a handful of equipment and technology additions. The Vision S concept-based baby Scorpio N underpinned by the NU_IQ platform is also expected in late 2026.
10&11. New Kia Seltos & Sorento Hybrid:
Already revealed, the second-gen Seltos will have its prices announced on January 2, 2026. Based on similar styling as the global Telluride, the all-new Seltos has been subjected to numerous revisions but it continues with the 1.5L NA petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel powertrains. The Sorento Hybrid is also set to arrive later next year in India.
12&13: VW Taigun & Skoda Kushaq Facelift:
The MQB A0 IN platform based Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq have been well received by customers and they play a pivotal role in garnering decent sales numbers. The duo is all pumped to get a facelift within the next three months as cosmetic enhancements and feature inclusions will be the order of the day.
