Suzuki’s wide range of custom vehicles at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon to include a tastefully modified version of the India-made 5-door Jimny
Suzuki has lined up some interesting exhibits for next year’s edition of the annual Tokyo Auto Salon, Japan’s premier event for modified and tuned cars. Among those relevant to India are the Jimny Nomade Hunter Wilds Edition and a race version of the Swift Sport.
Suzuki sells the 5-door Jimny in Japan with the Nomade suffix to differentiate it from the kei and regular 2-door versions. The new special edition is based on the theme of Monster Hunter Wilds, a cross-platform action role-playing video game Capcom launched earlier this year.
The Jimny Monster Hunter Wilds Edition takes inspiration from pop-up camps that players use as temporary bases in the open-world environments in the video game. Suzuki appears to have applied a wrap featuring the design of a dark brown tent, barbed wire, wild plants, tribal-style patterns, and claw-mark detailing.

Suzuki has also equipped the Jimny Monster Hunter Wilds Edition with its heritage-style radiator grille, which it offers as part of official accessories, a front bumper add-on featuring “X” marks and faux recovery hooks, and a roof carrier. The company has used exclusive retro-style wheels with the familiar Bridgestone Dueler H/T tyres on the special edition model.
Along with the Jimny Monster Hunter Wilds Edition, Suzuki will present a DR-Z4S Monster Hunter Wilds Edition at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon. The dual-sport bike is inspired by the Seikret, a bird wyvern used for transport in the video game. The company has no plans to launch either of the special edition models and will showcase them only for promotion.

Suzuki will also showcase the Swift Sport that AutoLabo Racing used in the ENEOS Super Taikyu 2025 Series Empowered by BRIDGESTONE, an endurance race held earlier this year. It will also hold a talk show with the car’s driver, Daisuke Ito, team representative and race car builder Koji Kunimatsu, and Suzuki engineers on 10 and 11 January. The 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, the capital of Chiba, from 9 January to 11 January.
