Brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Mahindra, Renault and Kia will launch new SUVs within the next five weeks in India and here we have listed them
The month of January 2026 is shaping up to be another eventful one considering that the new year will be kicked off with the arrival of some hard hitters as top automative brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Mahindra, Renault and Kia are set to elevate their presence in the SUV segment. Here we have brought you a detailed look:
1. New Kia Seltos:
The prices of the second generation Kia Seltos will be revealed on January 2, 2026. Revealed a few weeks ago, the new Seltos gets comprehensive updates inside and out while new features have also been added. It sits on the global K3 platform and continues to use a trio of 1.5L engines.
2. Mahindra XUV 7XO:
On January 5, 2026 Mahindra will introduce the XUV 7XO which is a thoroughly updated version of the outgoing XUV 700. Sticking with the brand’s latest design language and drawing inspiration from its premium EV range, mainly the XEV 9S, the Mahindra XUV 7XO will get features like ADAS visualisation, 540-degree camera and lot more.

3. New Gen Renault Duster:
The Duster nameplate is making a comeback on January 26 based on the CMF-B platform. The midsize SUV takes inspiration from the European model but gets notable India-specific changes as well. It will initially be powered by two petrol engines while a hybrid could join the lineup later. It will give rise to a Nissan sibling in the form of the Tekton.
4. Tata Harrier/Safari Petrol:
Tata Motors debuted the petrol variants of the Harrier and Safari recently. These feature a new in-house developed 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo petrol engine that delivers 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The powertrain is coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both SUVs have also gained new features such as a larger 14.5-inch OLED infotainment screen, Level 2 ADAS and exclusive “Ultra” trims and their prices will be out soon.

5. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara:
Maruti Suzuki’s maiden zero-emission vehicle, the e Vitara, is all pumped to launch next month and it will utilise the Heartect-e platform. It will be equipped with a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh battery option with a claimed range of up to 543 km per charge. It will be loaded with features including Level 2 ADAS, a large touchscreen, HUD and more.
