Three big SUVs, including a sub-4 metre model, coming to Mahindra showrooms next year
Mahindra has been on a major new product onslaught this year, and that will continue through 2026. The company has lined up a wave of new launches next year, three of which will be big SUVs aimed at enthusiasts and aspirational family customers.
The first big SUV launch from Mahindra next year will be the XUV 7XO, the facelifted version of the XUV 700. The company plans to launch the new flagship ICE SUV on 5 January and has started taking pre-orders with a deposit of 21,000 rupees.
The XUV 7XO will feature a more captivating exterior with sharper headlamps, a new six-slot upper grille, redesigned bumper, bigger, 19-inch alloy wheels, and more technical-looking tail lamps similar to the XEV 9S. Its interior will also have a new look, with a redesigned dashboard featuring three 12.3-inch displays, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a new brown colour scheme.

A 6-way power front passenger seat with power boss mode has been confirmed, and AR HUD, ventilated second-row seats, dual wireless charging (front and rear) are also expected to be among the new features in the XUV 7XO. Mahindra will likely offer the XUV 7XO with the same engines and transmissions as the XUV 700.
In March, Mahindra is expected to roll out the first facelift for the Scorpio-N, which it launched in 2022. The facelifted Scorpio-N should feature revised bumpers, tweaked headlamp graphics, a new six-slot grille, and new 17-inch alloy wheels. Interior changes could include new 10.25-inch dashboard displays, new trim materials, and a new colour scheme. No changes are expected to the engines or transmissions.

Just two months after launching a facelifted version of the Thar, Mahindra has begun working on another cosmetic refresh for the two-door model. The second facelift for the Thar would be more comprehensive visually, bringing bi-LED projector headlamps, a new six-slot grille, bigger, 19-inch alloy wheels, all expected to have similarities from the Thar Roxx.
In addition to improved looks, the upcoming Thar may offer more comfort and convenience with ventilated front seats, power-folding ORVMs, passive keyless entry, an auto-dimming IRVM, and a wireless smartphone charger. Mahindra is unlikely to offer any updates with respect to engines or transmissions in the new model.
