Tata Motors is riding on a wave of momentum created by its latest set of launches. To further garner more market share, the company is planning a rapid expansion in the SUV space as new models across different price points are waiting in the pipeline. Here is the new lineup stacked up for 2026:
1. Tata Sierra EV:
Following the good initial reception for the Sierra ICE, its electric version is all prepared to launch in early 2026 in India. It will be sold with two battery packs and expect the claimed driving range to be well over 500 km per charge. It will get subtle exterior and interior differences compared to its ICE counterpart.
2. Tata Punch ICE Facelift:
The IC-engined Tata Punch has been around for more than four years and it has been caught testing in a new avatar several times. As you might expect, it will get visual enhancements akin to its electric sibling while the interior could gain a slew of updates as it could get a new dashboard, centre console and steering wheel along with a more premium features list.

3. Tata Punch EV Facelift:
Also confirmed for 2026 is the new Punch EV. One of the top-selling EVs in India will receive a host of updates cosmetically and inside the cabin and we expect a larger battery pack with extended range capabilities to be introduced as well.
4. Tata Avinya:
The flagship Avinya range based on Jaguar Land Rover’s EMA platform is less than a year from making its local debut and the sportback could be the first model. Reports indicate that the Avinya series will give rise to SUV and MPV body styles as well down the line.

5. New Tata Nexon:
In late 2026 or early 2027, Tata could bring in the third generation Nexon. Currently under development, the all-new Nexon is internally called the ‘Garud’ and it will get a comprehensive makeover inside and out. The powertrain lineup could also see a major reshuffle but no concrete information has been known yet.
6. Tata Harrier & Safari Petrol:
Set to launch soon, the petrol-spec Tata Harrier and Safari were unveiled a few days ago and they are equipped with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine producing 170 PS maximum power and 280 Nm of peak torque. Besides the new powerplant, Tata has also introduced new trim levels and equipment to spice things up for the duo.
