Bookings for Simple One Ultra have commenced while the One range gets a host of improvements in its Gen 2 avatar
Simple Energy has expanded its electric two-wheeler lineup with the launch of its Gen 2 scooter range, headlined by the Simple Ultra, which claims an IDC-certified range of 400 km – the longest ever for an electric scooter in India. Alongside the Ultra, the Bengaluru-based EV maker has introduced updated Gen 2 versions of the Simple One and Simple One S.
At the top of the range sits the Simple Ultra, powered by a 6.5 kWh battery, the largest capacity yet seen on an Indian electric scooter. Designed to tackle range anxiety head-on, the Ultra boasts top notch performance on paper – clocking 0–40 kmph in 2.77 seconds and achieving a top speed of 115 kmph. Simple Energy positions it as India’s second-fastest electric scooter. Bookings for the Ultra have opened at Simple Energy’s showrooms.
The Simple One Gen 2 now arrives with two battery choices. The 4.5 kWh version offers an IDC range of 236 km and is priced from Rs. 1,69,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) while the larger 5 kWh variant extends the range to 265 km IDC with a starting price of Rs. 1,77,999. Both versions are available for immediate purchase.

Meanwhile, the Simple One S Gen 2 has been updated with an improved IDC range of 190 km and carries a price tag of Rs. 1,49,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The Gen 2 Simple One range sees comprehensive mechanical improvements too. The scooters are now 8 kg lighter – bringing kerb weight down to 129 kg while peak motor output has increased to 8.8 kW on the higher-spec version.
A 1-litre front glovebox, dedicated charging port, redesigned dashboard and new rider controls have also been added. Features such as traction control, cruise control and four-level regenerative braking are part of the package alongside expanded 35-litre underseat storage and a more accessible 780 mm seat height.
Performance figures vary by battery option. The 4.5 kWh Simple One Gen 2 produces 6.4 kW and 52 Nm as it can sprint from 0–40 kmph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 90 kmph. The 5 kWh version ups output to 8.8 kW and 72 Nm – matching the Ultra’s 115 kmph top speed and hitting 0–40 kmph in 2.55 seconds.

Both variants offer six riding modes and are equipped with disc brakes and CBS. The Simple One S Gen 2 also benefits from a host of revisions. Powered by a 3.7 kWh battery, it delivers 6.5 kW and 52 Nm – reaches 90 kmph and completes the 0–40 kmph run in 3 seconds. Braking performance has been improved with stopping distance reduced to 18.49 metres while maintaining the same seat height and storage capacity as the Simple One.
The Simple One Gen 2 features a 7-inch touchscreen while the OneS Gen 2 uses a non-touch display. Both run on 5G e-SIM with LTE and Bluetooth, support OTA updates, navigation, TPMS, Park Assist and Find My Vehicle functions and are protected by IP65-rated hardware. The brand also offers a lifetime warranty on motor and battery alongside extended coverage on chargers and vehicles.
