Tata Motors sold a total of 50,046 units in the month of December 2025; The Nexon stood at the top spot followed by the Punch
Tata Motors recently launched the petrol-powered versions of the Harrier and Safari in the Indian market. In addition to this, the Punch facelift will debut on January 13, while the Sierra EV is due for a launch in the coming weeks. The Indian carmaker ended the year 2025 on a high note by selling 50,046 units in the month of December.
It stood at the third spot in the domestic sales tally, accounting for a strong 13% growth from the previous year’s figure of 44,221 units. The MOM analysis reveals a 13% de-growth as the company sold 57,436 units in November 2025. Talking about the model-wise sales, the Nexon became the Indian carmaker’s top performer with 19,375 units in the bag, registering a commendable 43% YOY growth.
On the other hand, Punch stood at the second spot as it witnessed a 6% YOY growth in December 2025. The popular micro SUV’s sales bar stood at 15,980 units. Similarly, the Punch lost by 15% in the MOM comparison.

Trailing behind these high-volume pullers are the Tiago and Altroz with 5,862 and 2,871 units, respectively. The Tiago saw a 16% gain as compared to the previous year, while the premium hatchback Altroz’s graph shot up by 54%. Tata’s coupe SUV Curvv managed to sell 1,104 units in December 2025, marking a downwards trajectory of 78% in the YOY analysis.
The Indian carmaker’s newest and most popular launch of the year 2025, the Sierra, saw the initial numbers of 291 units, which are constituted by the early dealer dispatches. The customer deliveries of the mid-size SUV are scheduled to start on January 15, 2026.

Tata’s flagship SUVs, the Harrier and Safari’s performed moderately last month. The Harrier posted a sales number of 2,378 units while the Safari’s figures stood at 1,446 units. The former registered a massive 82% YOY growth while the latter’s YOY sales grew by 4%. Last but not least, the Tigor compact sedan sold 775 units in December 2025 and the YOY graph plummeted with a 26% decline.
To conclude, the Harrier, Altroz and Nexon are the top gainers in the Tata Motor’s line-up in the YOY analysis while the Curvv saw the biggest decline in the sales. On the other hand, the Tigor and Curvv are the only gainers in the MOM chart.
