2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will receive a host of revisions inside and out while the same 1.0L and 1.5L turbo petrol engines will continue
Skoda Auto India has released the first teaser video of the updated Kushaq which is expected to go on sale on January 19, 2026. The revised midsize SUV will gain a slew of changes inside and out and it has been spotted testing multiple times on local roads. The first teaser video of the five-seater does not give away much details except showing an SUV hidden under a wrap.
Since the arrival of the Kushaq midway through 2021, Skoda’s volume numbers were able to increase notable. It is accompanied by the locally made Kylaq and Slavia as the MQB A0 IN platform based trio are the key volume contributors for the brand. Skoda Auto Volkswagen India posted their highest ever domestic sales Of 1.17 lakh units in 2025 courtesy of the locally-born products.
The group is all set to bring mid-cycle updates to the Kushaq and Slavia as well as their Volkswagen siblings, the Taigun and Virtus. The Kushaq appears to be the first in line to receive the mid-life makeover as the spy images have indicated subtle changes to the grille sections, headlamps and bumpers while newly designed alloy wheels will also be available.

The rear will also be equipped with mildly updates tail lamps and updates. On the inside, a revised dashboard layout with improved material, a suite of Level 2 ADAS tech comprising adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist and autonomous emergency braking along with new upholstery, a larger touchscreen, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera system, etc are likely.
Powertrain choices will also stay the same as the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol pushing out 115 PS and 178 Nm and the larger 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI making 150 PS and 250 Nm will be retained. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual, six-speed torque converter automatic and the seven-speed DSG.

However, an eight-speed AT has been speculated as well. We expect similar changes to drip feed into the lineup of the Virtus as well at least the enhancements found inside the cabin.
