Maruti Suzuki India Limited completed the third quarter of FY2025-26 on a historic note by reporting its strongest ever quarterly and nine-month performance across volumes, revenue and profitability. The period ended December 2025 saw Maruti Suzuki achieving a record cumulative sales of 17,46,504 units – improving from 16,29,631 units in the same period last year.

The largest car producer in the country’s domestic volumes stood at 14,35,945 units while exports rose to 3,10,559 units courtesy of good reception for the Baleno and Jimny. The numbers translated into net sales of Rs. 1,24,290 crore for the nine-month period as against Rs. 1,06,258 crore in 9M FY2024-25. Net profit for the period increased to Rs. 1,08,549 crore – up from Rs. 1,04,403 crore a year earlier.

Zooming into the October–December quarter, Maruti Suzuki delivered its highest-ever quarterly domestic sales at 5,64,669 units with a steep year-on-year increase of 97,676 units over Q3 FY2024-25. A significant portion of this growth came from the entry-level segment with cars falling under the 18 per cent GST bracket accounting for 68,328 additional units as the price drop endured due to lowered taxes has helped the brand big time during the festive season.

The total volumes indicated a significant increase from Rs. 36,802 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year – making it Maruti Suzuki’s highest-ever quarterly revenue performance. However, profitability during the quarter was impacted by a one-time provision of Rs. 593 crore related to the implementation of new labour codes which partially offset the benefits of higher volumes. The company also confirmed that Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited – a wholly owned subsidiary was amalgamated with Maruti Suzuki India Limited with effect from December 1, 2025. Since the appointed date under the scheme is April 1, 2025, the financial statements have been restated accordingly for accurate comparison.
