Royal Enfield reported a positive opening to 2026 with total volumes of 1,04,322 units in January 2026 with a year-on-year increase of 14 per cent. The tally also enabled the company to achieve a significant benchmark with cumulative sales in the ongoing financial year surpassing one million units within the first ten months.

The domestic market remained the main contributor to overall volumes during the month. Sales within India reached 93,781 motorcycles with a volume surge of 16 per cent when compared to the same period last year. The exports registered moderate progress despite uncertain global conditions as the overseas shipments stood at 10,541 units in January 2026.

It resulted in a 5 per cent increase on a year-on-year basis. The company’s continued focus on expanding its international presence and strengthening distribution in select markets contributed to stable export performance. The good reception for its entry-level middleweight offerings in the 350 cc segment along with the popularity of the 450 cc and 650 cc models should not go unnoticed.

The total volumes for the current financial year climbed to 10,25,420 units – up 25 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year. A key development during this period was the export business crossing the one lakh unit milestone as the company has been well received in several developed and emerging markets.

Product updates remained an important focus alongside volume growth. Royal Enfield also expanded its efforts in rider development and engagement. The introduction of Royal Enfield Gymkhana in Bengaluru indicates the brand’s entry into structured riding programmes with certified training modules to enhance riding skills and promote safety.
