In the coming 4-5 weeks, three new MPVs from leading brands such as Nissan, Vinfast and Mercedes-Benz will be launched in India
MPVs always have a special place in the hearts of Indian people and it is quite evident by the monthly sales volumes of two of the most iconic models namely Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta. Despite the heavy dominance of SUVs in the Indian market, the MPVs have maintained their market share due to their practicality, durability and spaciousness. In this piece, we will talk in length about the 3 new MPVs launching soon in India.
1. Nissan Gravite
The ‘Nissan’ badged version of Renault Triber will break cover on Feb 17, 2026 in the country. Sharing the same platform and powertrain as the Triber, it is likely to be priced between Rs 6-9 lakh (ex-showroom). Design-wise, it flaunts signature Nissan ‘V-Motion’ front grille, faux front skid plate, fog lamps, sporty lower bumper, twin-strip LED DRLs and GRAVITE lettering on the bonnet.

In terms of features, Nissan Gravite is likely to come with a 7-inch digital driver’s display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, rear AC vents, and a cooled glove box. The three-row MPV with 5+2 configuration will be powered by the same 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol engine which generates 72 bhp and 96 Nm. It could also come with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

The V-Class comes with 6-seater and 8-seater layouts in Long and Extra Long wheelbase options. The new V-Class retains the boxy profile, sweptback LED tail lamps and massive grille with the Mercedes logo in the middle.

Some of the notable features onboard the luxury MPV will be ambient lighting, cup holders, ventilated reclining seats with massage function, retractable footrests, dual 12.3-inch screens, rear sliding doors and a 3-spoke steering wheel. The global-spec model of the V-Class is powered by a 2.0L diesel engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The same engine-gearbox combination is likely to come with the India-bound MPV.
