2026 Tata Punch EV facelift gets exterior and interior updates while the battery options and claimed range remain the same
Tata Motors is all set to bring in the updated Punch EV in India on Feb 20, 2026 – introducing a series of enhancements to its compact electric SUV inside and out. While the electric drivetrain carries over unchanged, the refreshed model concentrates on design revisions and enhanced in-cabin features and technologies this time around.
A marginal price increase over the outgoing version is expected once it officially goes on sale. Mechanically, the zero-emission SUV continues with two battery choices. Buyers will still have the option of a 25 kWh pack offering a claimed driving range of 265 km or a larger 35 kWh unit capable of delivering up to 365 km on a single charge. The smaller battery remains paired with a motor producing 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque whereas the bigger pack works with a stronger motor rated at 121 bhp and 190 Nm.
Inside the cabin, the most notable addition is likely to be a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen featuring Tata’s updated interface. Revised seat materials and colour themes may also be introduced to create a new ambience. There is speculation that more advanced driver assistance systems could join the equipment list.

Despite the updates, the 2026 Punch EV will retain several key features from the existing model. These are expected to include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera system, wireless smartphone charging, connected car functionality, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror.
The current variant lineup comprising Smart, Smart Plus, Adventure and Empowered trims is likely to remain unchanged. On the outside, the facelift brings a cleaner look. The front now features a closed-off panel while the earlier black strip linking the headlamps has been removed for a sharper look. The lower bumper has been subtly reshaped with larger air intakes and the alloy wheels gets a new design influenced by Tata’s larger EV models.

A vibrant new exterior shade similar to the bright yellow seen on Tata’s premium SUVs will also be introduced – complemented by a contrasting black roof for a sportier appearance. Although full rear details are yet to be revealed, updated lighting elements including a light bar similar to the recently refreshed petrol version and a new bumper will be part of the package.
