Here we have brought you a rundown of the 5 confirmed new 7-seater cars that are launching in 2026-27 in India from VW, MG, Nissan and Renault
The 7-seater segment is all pumped to see plenty of activity this year and also in 2027 as brands like Volkswagen, MG, Nissan and Renault are planning to introduce new models and here we have listed them:
1. Volkswagen Tayron R Line:
The locally assembly of the fully-loaded R Line spec Tayron has already commenced in India ahead of the market launch in the coming weeks. Expected to be priced around Rs. 45 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tayron R Line is based on the global Tiguan and it acts as a new flagship offering and it derives power from a 2.0L turbo petrol mill with 4WD system as standard.
2. MG Majestor:
Revealed yesterday, the MG Majestor’s prices will be announced next month ahead of customer deliveries starting in April. The more premium version of the Gloster derives power from the familiar twin turbo diesel engine with 2WD and 4WD options. It comes with a reworked exterior and an interior packed with premium equipment and technologies including Level 2 ADAS.

3. Nissan Gravite:
Based on the same architecture as the Renault Triber, the Nissan Gravite is all set to launch on February 17, 2026. It will carry a high local content as well and expect the prices to be competitive. The Nissan Gravite boasts a different styling compared to the Triber but the powertrain lineup will continue to be the 1.0L NA and turbo petrol units.
4. Renault Duster Based 7-Seater:
The prices of the new-gen Renault Duster will be announced next month in India and its deliveries will commence in April 2026 while the hybrid version’s prices will be out later this year. It will give rise to a three-row SUV which could be based on the Boreal sold in the international markets in terms of size but it will be heavily localised as well.

5. Nissan Tekton Based 7-Seater:
Following the launch of the Gravite, Nissan will bring in the Tekton midsize SUV based on the same platform as the new Renault Duster. It has been confirmed to spawn a three-row sibling in the next financial year and expect the duo to share the engine and transmission lineups while the equipment list will also remain the same barring the addition of some new bits and bobs.
