Maruti Suzuki e Vitara uses lithium-iron-phosphate battery packs with the claimed driving range going up to 543 km between charges
Maruti Suzuki has officially introduced the e Vitara in India at an entry price of Rs. 10.99 lakh under a battery-as-a-service plan – positioning it directly against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV. The electric SUV arrives with ownership incentives including a 60 per cent assured buyback after three years, complimentary home charger installation and one year of free public charging.
Production of the model has already commenced at the brand’s Gujarat facility with India-made units already shipped for export markets. The company is simultaneously building a long term ecosystem around its first all-electric model – pledging support for more than one lakh public charging stations nationwide before the decade ends.
Underpinning the SUV is the dedicated Heartect-e skateboard architecture giving it proportions of 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and about 1,640 mm in height along with a generous 2,700 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance stands near 185 mm in unladen condition and its bootspace capacity is at 310 litres.
