Hyundai records a marginal decline in year-over-year sales in June 2025, while the nation’s top-selling SUV, the Creta, remains in the first position
Offering one of the widest line-ups of passenger cars, Hyundai is one of the most preferred auto brands in India. The company is among the top players in the industry, with June 2025 sales data putting it in the third rank.
Hyundai sold 44,024 cars in India in June 2025. In a month that was overall slow for the car market, the company witnessed a 12.1% decline in sales compared to June last year, when it had delivered 50,103 cars. The South Korean automaker lost its second spot to Mahindra, which sold 40,022 units in June 2024 but grew to 18.2% to 47,306 units last month.
As usual, the Creta was the best-selling Hyundai model in India in June 2025. The company sold 15,786 units of this SUV last month, 3% lower than in the same month last year (16,293 units). The slightly smaller Venue was the South Korean automaker’s second most popular model, with 6,858 units sold in June 2025.
