BMW CE 02 comes with a 3.9 kWh battery pack and an air-cooled synchronous electric motor; boasts a claimed riding range of 108 km on a single charge
In late 2024, BMW Motorrad India introduced the CE 02 following the arrival of the larger CE 04 a while before. It carries a price of Rs. 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom) but currently sees a massive price discount of more than Rs. 2 lakh but for a limited time while stocks are left in select dealerships. Prospective consumers can contact their nearest sales outlets for accurate information.
Built around a rigid twin-loop steel frame, the BMW CE 02 uses upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock suspension. Braking is handled by a 239 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm unit at the rear assisted by single-channel ABS while 14-inch wheels can be seen at both ends. Even in standard form, it comes equipped with full LED illumination, a 3.5-inch TFT screen and reverse assist.
Other highlights are USB-C charging, keyless start and selectable Flow and Surf ride settings along with safety electronics such as traction regulation, theft protection, Automatic Stability Control and Recuperation Stability Control. Power comes from an air-cooled synchronous motor paired with a 3.9 kWh battery enabling a manufacturer-quoted riding range of around 108 km between charges.

Performance figures indicate a top speed close to 95 kmph and acceleration that propels it from standstill to 50 kmph in about three seconds – supported by multiple electronic riding aids. Charging duties are managed by a supplied 0.9 kW unit that needs a little over five hours for a full replenish whereas an optional 1.5 kW charger trims the wait to around three and a half hours.
Within the electric lineup of BMW, this model occupies a slot beneath the larger BMW CE 04 – sharing certain styling cues but distinguished by its pared-back panels and distinctly futuristic visual theme. Buyers in the Indian market can select from two exterior tones – Cosmic Black and Cosmic Black 2.
