Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift (2)

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift is expected to launch soon in India with cosmetic updates and a more feature-rich cabin; mechanical changes unlikely

Recent spy photographs confirm that Mahindra & Mahindra has begun road testing prototypes of the refreshed Scorpio N SUV. First introduced in 2022, the model is approaching its initial mid-cycle revision and the test sightings suggest that its official debut could take place within the next few months.

The upcoming facelift is tipped to receive a noticeably upgraded layout. The dashboard is expected to house a larger 10.25-inch freestanding infotainment screen replacing the smaller existing display and this unit will likely be shared with the Mahindra Thar Roxx. To suit the new screen format, the centre console design has reportedly been revised.

It could get vertically arranged air vents while physical HVAC buttons and the signature aircraft-style toggle switches are set to remain intact. A fully digital instrument display could be introduced to modernise the driving interface and a panoramic sunroof may join the feature list to elevate the premium appeal. Despite these additions, the upholstery patterns, colour themes and overall dashboard design are expected to continue largely unchanged.

Mechanically, the facelift will stick with the current engine lineup. Power should continue to come from the familiar 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol motors paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed torque-converter automatic. The diesel variant is also likely to retain its optional four-wheel-drive system.

Although the mechanical package is expected to stay the same, minor suspension revisions could be implemented to enhance ride comfort and handling balance. Styling revisions appear subtler than the interior upgrades. At the front, the SUV is tipped to receive a redesigned grille featuring horizontal detailing along with a reworked lower bumper section.

The headlamp assemblies and fog lights, however, look set to be carried over from the outgoing version. Along the sides, the SUV’s silhouette remains identical – preserving its tall stance and muscular proportions. The main change visible in test vehicles is a set of new alloy wheels which should help differentiate the facelift from the current iteration. The rear design remains concealed under camouflage for now though slight bumper modifications are likely.
