2026 Tata Punch EV is offered in five trims – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+
The updated iteration of the Punch EV has been introduced with pricing starting at Rs. 6.49 lakh under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme while buyers opting for a complete purchase will pay Rs. 9.69 lakh for the base version (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The compact electric SUV is offered in five trims – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+.
At the entry level sits the Smart 30 which is equipped with the 30 kWh battery pack. The base configuration is available exclusively in four exterior shades: Supernova Copper, Pure Grey, Pristine White and Bengal Rouge. Despite being the starting point in the line-up, the Smart variant comes reasonably equipped on the safety and features front.
Powertrain options include a 30 kWh battery delivering a real-world range of 265 km while the larger 40 kWh unit promises up to 355 km under ARAI testing standards. Feature highlights of the Smart 30 include multi-level regenerative braking, two driving modes that are City and Sport along with six airbags, electronic stability control and hill hold assist.

It also gets iRA.ev connectivity with smartwatch integration, a high-beam alert system, tyre pressure monitoring system and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. Additional equipment on the base trim consists of 15-inch steel wheels with covers, front power windows and a four-inch digital instrument display. While it keeps things simple, it covers essential safety and functional requirements for daily use.
Stepping up, the Smart+ 30 is priced at Rs. 10.29 lakh and builds upon the Smart trim with several enhancements. It gains an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, 65W dual USB Type-C charging ports, regenerative braking paddle shifters, a remote key, toggle-style window switches and a shark-fin antenna.

For buyers prioritising range, the Smart+ 40, tagged at Rs. 10.89 lakh, emerges as a stronger value proposition. In addition to the larger 40 kWh battery, it brings Eco, City and Sport drive modes, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a reverse camera, 16-inch steel wheels and a distinctive jewelled rotary drive selector.
