In the month of March 2026, automakers like Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Renault, Skoda and Toyota are all set to introduce new models across different segments and price brackets in the domestic market and most of them are SUVs. Here we have explained them:

1. Mercedes-Benz V Class:

With demand for upscale multi-purpose vehicles rising among affluent buyers in India, Mercedes-Benz is preparing to reintroduce the V-Class – reviving a nameplate that was withdrawn in 2022 with an updated version of the earlier model. Internationally, the luxury MPV is offered in multiple seating formats including eight- and seven-seat layouts as well as a more premium six-seat configuration featuring individual captain chairs in the second and third rows but the exact wheelbase and seating combination for India have yet to be confirmed.

2. New Renault Duster:

Last month, the Duster made its much-awaited comeback to India. Its official prices will be announced on March 17 ahead of the hand over to consumers in the same month. It boasts a sharp design philosophy and most of the design cues are specific to India. Powertrain options include a 1.0L turbo petrol, a 1.3L turbo petrol and a 1.8L hybrid petrol engine.

The SQ8 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin turbocharged V8 petrol engine – shared with the RS Q8 but tuned to produce 507 hp and 770 Nm – placing it well above the regular Q8’s 3.0-litre turbo petrol V6 mill. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels, the SQ8 is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds.

4. Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella:

Underpinned by the same Heartect-e platform as the e Vitara, it will utilise a 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery pack with a real-world range of more than 500 km between charges. Compared to the e Vitara, it gets subtle exterior and interior revisions while the equipment list boasts an all-digital instrument console, a large touchscreen unit, Level 2 ADAS and more.

Recently, Nissan brought in its heavily localised compact MPV, the Gravite. Based on the same platform as the Triber, it is equipped with a 1.0L NA three-cylinder petrol engine. Its customer deliveries are set to begin in March 2026 while the new Duster based Nissan Tekton is also expected to go on sale sometime next month. It will likely use a hybrid/petrol engine as well and its design is heavily influenced by the global Patrol.
