Tata Nexon was the highest-selling company model in Feb 2026 with sales of 19,430 units, followed by the Punch at 18,748 units
Tata Motors has announced its sales numbers for Feb 2026. The company sold a total of 63,331 units last month which included domestic as well as export volumes. It grew by 35 percent on a YoY basis as the brand had managed to retail 46,811 units in Feb 2025. Just so you know, this includes both ICE and EV models. With these numbers, Tata Motors slipped to the third spot by pushing Mahindra to the fourth position. The homegrown automaker lost the second position to Hyundai which bounced back to reclaim it after a prolonged period of time.
As far as the domestic market is concerned, Tata Motors sold 62,329 units in Feb 2026 against 46,435 units during the same month last year. The YoY sales surged by 34 percent. The export volumes witnessed a staggering YoY growth of 167 percent as 1,002 made-in-India cars and SUVs were shipped last month as compared to 376 units in Feb 2025.
Coming to the EV sales, the company sold a total of 8,385 units in Feb 2026 including domestic and international markets. The YoY sales numbers rose by 57 percent as 5,343 units were retailed in Feb 2025. Presently, the company has the widest electric vehicle portfolio in India with as many as six models in the form of Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV and Harrier EV.

The ICE portfolio of Tata Motors is not small either as it comprises of 9 models across various segments in the Indian market. It includes Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Harrier, Safari, Curvv and the recently launched Sierra. While the entry-level Tiago is priced between Rs 4.57-8.10 lakh, the flagship Sierra comes in a price range of 11.49-21.29 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.
Tata Motors recently launched the 2026 Punch EV in a price range of Rs 9.69-12.59 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Available with two battery pack options of 30 kWh and 40 kWh, it was presented in five grades namely Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+ S. The 40 kWh battery returns a real-world range of 355 km on a full charge.

The company will also introduce multiple new products this year in the Indian market, which starts with the launch of the Sierra EV in the coming couple of months. The 2026 Tiago EV facelift has also been spotted testing on several occasions and it is likely to launch in the later half of this year. It will unveil the first EV under Avinya badging by the end of 2026 in India.
