The South-Korean automaker continued strong sales momentum fuelled by decent demand for multiple models such as Seltos and Sonet
Kia India has registered YoY sales growth of 10.3 percent in Feb 2026 with a total of 27,610 units being sold in the country. The South-Korean automaker had retailed 25,026 units during the same period last year. This is the second month on the trot when the company has went on to record double digit growth on a YoY basis. Also, it is the highest-ever February wholesales volume since commencing operations in India. Kia has quite a diverse portfolio in the Indian market with presence in almost every major segment in both ICE and EV divisions.
The company had launched the new-gen Seltos in Jan 2026 at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia stated in the official press note that the SUV continued to witness strong customer response. In addition, the Sonet also contributed generously in the overall record sales last month. The demand was also steady for the Carens Clavis and Clavis EV.
The brand further added that overall performance was achieved through a well-balanced product strategy which includes integration of advanced safety technologies (ADAS), connected car features, and premium ownership experience. Since starting operations in 2019 in the Indian market, Kia has emerged as one of the fastest-growing auto brands in the country with more than 1 million vehicles on road.

Kia sold 2,55,554 vehicles in CY 2025 with a market share of close to 7 percent. In Jan 2026, it retailed 27,603 units in the country. As we can see, the company continued the growth momentum in Feb 2026 as well with almost identical sales figures. The South-Korean automaker is presently the sixth largest passenger vehicle brand in India after Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Toyota.

Kia India has 849 sales and service touchpoints across 382 cities in the country. Additionally, it has 122 certified pre-owned car outlets for buying, selling and exchange process. These outlets also ensure seamless and secure ownership transfers with complete peace of mind. The company plans to launch multiple new models this year in the Indian market, including the Syros EV.
