New Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to go on sale soon in India with minor cosmetic updates but notable enhancements elsewhere
Under the hood, sweeping mechanical revisions are unlikely for the updated Brezza. The familiar 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine is expected to continue in its current state of tune producing around 102 bhp and 137 Nm of torque. The factory-fitted CNG derivative should also retain similar output figures of roughly 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm.
However, one notable change could come in the form of a new six-speed manual gearbox, potentially replacing the existing five-speed unit. While the powertrain may remain largely intact, practicality improvements appear to be a key highlight of the refresh. MSIL has been reportedly testing a revised layout for the CNG variant with the gas tank positioned beneath the floor instead of inside the luggage compartment.
If this underfloor configuration makes it to production, it would free up valuable boot space – addressing one of the main compromises faced by CNG buyers. On the outside, the SUV is not expected to receive a dramatic redesign. Camouflaged test vehicles indicate that the basic design and dimensions remain unchanged.

The updates seem to centre on detailing such as newly styled alloy wheels and subtle revisions to body cladding along with lighting changes. The cabin, on the other hand, will more likely witness more noticeable upgrades. A larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system could be introduced – offering sharper graphics and improved connectivity options.
The model already features a head-up display with navigation prompts and the facelift may further consolidate its technology package to keep pace with competitors. Multiple test mules wrapped in camouflage have been spotted in recent months, suggesting that development is at an advanced stage.

These frequent sightings indicate that Maruti Suzuki India Limited is preparing to roll out the refreshed model in the coming months. The Brezza continues to be a crucial contributor to Maruti Suzuki’s SUV volumes in India’s with over 14 lakh customers.
