Mercedes CLA BEV range comprises CLA 250+ Long Range and CLA 200 Standard Range; deliveries set to commence next month
Mercedes-Benz India has begun accepting bookings for the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV. Interested customers can reserve the model with a booking amount of Rs. 1.5 lakh while deliveries are scheduled to start in phases. The CLA 250+ Long Range will begin reaching buyers towards the end of April 2026. It will be followed by the CLA 200 Standard Range in June 2026.
One of the key highlights of the announcement is the introduction of the CLA 200 Standard Range – a new variant that will sit alongside the CLA 250+ Long Range in the lineup. It has been developed after feedback from potential customers who wanted an additional option offering a slightly lower entry price while still retaining its EV capability according to the brand.
Both variants will feature similar equipment levels – ensuring that customers do not miss out on technology or features regardless of which version they choose. The Standard Range model will feature Progressive Line styling – bringing design elements such as comfort seats, a multifunction sports leather steering wheel and multiple interior trim choices.

Range figures differ between the two versions. The CLA 250+ Long Range offers a claimed range of up to 792 km while the CLA 200 Standard Range is expected to deliver approximately 542 km on a full charge. These give customers the option to prioritise either maximum driving range or a more accessible purchase price.
Built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, the electric sedan supports ultra fast charging. When connected to a 240 kW DC fast charger, the Long Range variant can gain around 400 km of range in about 20 minutes whereas the Standard Range version can add around 320 km during the same time. To further support electric mobility, Mercedes-Benz will provide access to its ‘MB.Charge’ Public charging network.

It currently includes more than 9,000 charging points across India. The vehicle also features MBUX intelligent navigation which can suggest optimal charging stops during longer trips. Customers will additionally have the option of installing a Mercedes-Benz home wall box charger with a charging capacity of up to 22 kW.
It is available through franchise partners at a cost of around Rs. 50,000 including installation but consumers those who pre-book the electric sedan will receive the charger complimentary. The CLA 200 Standard Range is expected to carry a tentative price of around Rs. 55 lakh while the CLA 250+ Long Range could be priced at around Rs. 59 lakh – subject to final confirmation at launch.
