BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe comes with a range of exterior and interior enhancements along with feature upgrades; gets four exterior colour schemes
A few days ago, BMW began accepting bookings for the new-gen 2 Series Gran Coupe in India just ahead of its official market debut. Customers can reserve the upcoming model either through authorised dealerships or by visiting BMW’s digital sales platform. The new iteration which is set to be introduced tomorrow will be locally assembled.
The exterior styling has been revised with sharper proportions while the cabin undergoes a comprehensive overhaul. On the inside, the key highlight is BMW’s curved widescreen display which combines a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10.7-inch central touchscreen and a new dash. Though the familiar low-slung silhouette has been preserved, the latest version adopts a more angular design approach.
The latter now runs the brand’s Operating System 9 bringing updated interfaces and added connected features. The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe introduces a comprehensively updated mechanical package featuring a revised powertrain and a recalibrated suspension setup for improving both comfort and handling.

The driver assistance systems have also been upgraded and the physical buttons inside the cabin have been reduced significantly with most controls now accessible through the infotainment interface. Additional highlights include front-row massage seats, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera system, 18-inch wheels and a panoramic glass sunroof.
Globally, the engine lineup comes with multiple petrol trims while the diesel range comprises the 218d and 220d. The performance-based M235 xDrive can do 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of up to 250 kmph. India will get a 1.5L turbocharged petrol mill producing 156 bhp and 230 Nm.

The powertrain is linked with a seven-speed automatic transmission and will be sold in 218 M Sport and 218 M Sport Pro trims. Buyers will have the option to choose between four colours namely Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey Metallic, Alpine White and M Portimao Blue Metallic. Expect the prices to range between Rs. 46 lakh and Rs. 52 lakh (ex-showroom).
