TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to go on sale this festive season and it will compete with adventure tourers in the 250-400 cc range
TVS first previewed its upcoming adventure tourer at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year. The model in question – likely to be called the Apache RTX, based on a trademark filing – has since been sighted repeatedly during road testing across India suggesting that the launch timeline is drawing closer.
The development cycle appears to be in its final stages with camouflaged test mules revealing key details and hardware. It has been caught testing on local roads again indicting that a launch could be on the cards this festive season. It must be noted that the updated 2025 Apache RTR 310 was launched only a few days ago.
Much of its design language mirrors elements seen on the RR 310 and RTR 310. Central to the differentiation is the introduction of an all-new engine architecture which is referred to as the RT-XD4 platform. It will mark a significant mechanical departure from the 312 cc reverse-inclined engine co-developed with BMW Motorrad.

Powering the Apache RTX 300 is a newly developed 299.1 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. First shown at the MotoSoul gathering in 2024, the motor is tuned to produce 35 PS at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. A six-speed gearbox handles transmission duties – supported by a ride-by-wire throttle system and a slipper clutch.
TVS seems to have brought up the Apache RTX 300 more for long haul comfort than a rugged trail tamer. A 19-inch front alloy wheel points to its road-biased setup. The stepped split seat design keeps the rider’s perch relatively low – unusual for an Adv – which should make the motorcycle more approachable for many.

Briefly showcased at the BMGE 2025, the Apache RTX 300 features win LED headlamps, a tall windscreen, a pronounced beak, an upswept exhaust unit, 43 mm upside-down front forks, a TFT instrument console with connectivity options, ride modes and plenty of electronic aids will be stuffed in.
