Mahindra posted total sales of 83,691 units in July 2025 with a 26 per cent rise over the same month last year

Mahindra’s automotive division registered total sales of 83,691 units in July 2025 with a 26 per cent rise over the same month last year. The figure accounts for both domestic and international shipments across segments. The SUV category, as expected, led the charge. New product movement and model ramp-ups played a role too.

The utility vehicles alone accounted for 49,871 units sold within India. The tally translated to a 20 per cent increase compared to July 2024. Including exports, the total moved up to 50,835 units for the month. The manufacturer attributed part of the momentum to the XUV 3XO Revx line along with the initial deliveries of Pack Two variants under the BE 6 and XEV 9E series.

The three-wheeler sales, which now include electric models, surged to 9,475 units in July. The figure stood at 3,593 units for the same month last year – indicating a sharp jump of 164 per cent. Year-to-date, this category has contributed 30,034 units. Much of the growth is being channelled through Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited which oversees both conventional and electric variants.

In the commercial vehicle space, Mahindra recorded 21,571 units across domestic channels in July. The sub-two-tonne LCV category, however, declined by nine per cent to 2,763 units. The mid-segment (2 to 3.5 tonnes) posted a positive twelve per cent rise – reaching 17,701 units. The heavier end of the range, comprising LCVs above 3.5 tonnes and MHCVs, also saw a 20 per cent year-on-year lift.

Overseas shipments stood at 2,774 units in July, a strong 83 per cent jump compared to the 1,515 units dispatched in the same period last year. Year-to-date, export numbers have touched 12,441 units – up from 8,640 in the previous fiscal cycle. Passenger vehicle numbers for the year so far have reached 2,01,938 units – compared to 165,871 by July last year with a gain of 22 per cent.
